1. Seal number:

The seal number is used if the shipment is full truckload from the origin to destination. The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) assigned to identify the carrier. The Pro number assigned by the carrier to track the shipment. The pro number is used if an LTL carrier hauls the shipment.

2. Rate confirmation:

Rate confirmation is defined as a formal document that is issued by a carrier to a shipper or their agent, which outlines the charges for shipping goods. The rate confirmation will detail the specific commodities being shipped, the origin and destination of the shipment, the date range of the shipment, and the applicable rates.

3. Reefer temperature:

The term 'reefer' is used in shipping to refer to refrigerated ships and refrigerated shipping containers that transport perishable commodities by sea. Temperature-controlled transportation is used for perishables such as fruit, meat, fish, vegetables, and dairy products.
This option under “Scan docs” on Driveraa - 365 Mobile App helps the driver to confirm the temperature of the reefer trailer. There are two types of truck load (i) dry load (ii) temperature controlled so whenever there is a reefer trailer means trailer has a refrigerator and temperature control system. There is a thermostat metre and the driver is supposed to set the temperature from it as per the load term and conditions. So drivers are used to click and picture and upload the image of the thermostat to confirm the company dispatch team which simply uploads under the particular load number.

4. BOL ( bill of loading)

A bill of lading (BL or BoL) is a legal document issued by a carrier (transportation company) to a shipper that details the type, quantity, and destination of the goods being carried. A bill of lading also serves as a shipment receipt when the carrier delivers the goods at a predetermined destination. This document must accompany the shipped products, no matter the form of transportation, and must be signed by an authorised representative from the carrier, shipper, and receiver.
This option under “Scan docs” on Driveraa - 365 Mobile App helps the driver to scan a bill of lading “BOL” and upload. BOL is simply 3 to 5 A4 size pages that should be scanned and uploaded.

5. POD

A Proof of Delivery (POD) is a document that serves as written evidence of the proper delivery of a shipment. The carrier issues the document, which must be acknowledged by the recipient to confirm the correct delivery of the goods. Damage, incompleteness or non- delivery can thus be recorded or excluded with legal certainty.

6. Lumper receipt

A Lumper (sometimes called a freight handler) is a person who unloads the trailer for truck drivers. A lumper sometimes drives a forklift, operates a pallet jack, or in certain circumstances unloads a truck by hand. Usually a third party, not the receiver, employs lumpers. This is a way for companies to outsource this process and avoid the costs of employing dock personnel full time.
